Initially accredited for the catering packaging scheme and, since 5 June 2026, for the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) scheme for professional packaging, CITEO PRO supports stakeholders in the sector in reducing the environmental impact of their packaging through three key approaches: reduction, reuse and recycling.
CITEO PRO operates at the heart of the professional packaging ecosystem, complementing existing operational arrangements.
Our role: bring together all stakeholders in the sector to achieve further improvements in the management of professional packaging waste.
We favour a pragmatic approach, tailored to the realities on the field and developed in collaboration with our partners.
We build on existing systems to drive further performance and activate the right performance levers.
We prioritise solutions that have been tried and tested in the field, are effective and economically viable, in collaboration with key stakeholders in the sector.
We work with all stakeholders to tailor the measures to the specific characteristics of each sector. We consult with stakeholders across the entire value chain.
As professional packaging knows no borders, we work with other European environmental organisations to ensure consistent practices beyond French territory.
CITEO PRO is joining forces with Ecomaison, a Producer Responsability Organisation already accredited in the furniture, construction, DIY and gardening, and toys sectors, to address the challenges facing the professional sector.
This partnership enables us to:
– offer a streamlined process for businesses involved in several EPR schemes;
– draw on Ecomaison’s in-depth experience in managing wood at waste collection centres;
– to provide tailored sector-specific support on 3R issues;
CITEO PRO also combines its expertise with that of ecosystem to support the performance of companies in the electrical and electronic equipment and battery sectors within the professional packaging industry.
